Making a Perfect Coffee
To ensure the perfect cup, Ignite Coffee Co. believes in only supplying coffee which is roasted to order. This ensures absolute freshness which enhances the flavour.
Buy quantities that will only last for 7 – 21 days and store beans/powder in an airtight container, out of sunlight
Airtight container – Yes, Fridge – No, Freezer – Yes (you can let thaw and use straight away or grind frozen)
Ensure your grind is consistent with your brewing method. The grinds you should use are listed below:
Plunger - Coarse grind, Espresso - Fine Grind, Stove Top - Fine Grind
Measure correct quantities of coffee. ie. 2 table spoons for each 190ml cup
Use filtered water as contents of unfiltered water may adversely affect the coffee’s taste. ie. Chlorine can make the coffee taste bitter
If making filter coffee, never leave it on a warming plate for more than 25 minutes
