History

It all began about 10 years ago, when Robert Harris cafes ruled and the plunger was the latest designer piece in the kitchen. A few boutique roasters were popping up producing out of this world espresso. More people needed to experience this new level of taste sensation in coffee. We (aka Keith and Jo Hill) jumped at the chance.

And Ignite began – initially supplying boutique coffee brands to homes and offices, and then expanding to launch and roast our own Ignite coffee brand. At the same time, we began importing the traditional Gaggia machines from Italy and the Franke automatics from Switzerland- both stylish, top of the range espresso equipment.

Since then we’ve expanded throughout NZ and now supply cafes, corporates and restaurants nationwide. Our head office is in Auckland, with over 20 agents throughout the country.
